I'm Pawan Maharaj. I started Verge because I kept seeing buyers overpay for problems they couldn't see, and walk past value they didn't recognise.
My background
I come from the building side of property. I hold a NSW carpenter licence and I've worked on residential sites across coordination, trades, fit-out, safety and compliance. I'm working towards my NSW builder licence.
I'm also a developer in my own right. I'm subdividing a three-frontage block in Helensburgh into a cottage lot and a rear duplex lot, and working through a new development approval in Gymea Bay. I share that journey openly on social media: the wins, the council hurdles and the real costs.
Why Verge
A verge is the edge of the block: where the property meets the street. It's also the point just before something happens. That's where I want to be for my clients: right at the moment of buying, looking at the whole property, not just the listing.
How I work

Licensing
I'm a licensed real estate agent in Queensland, and my NSW licence application is currently being processed. Verge will begin acting for buyers in NSW once the NSW licence is granted.
